HOW YOUR BALCONY POWER PLANT WORKS
The solar modules
They are the most important components of your PV system, because they
convert solar radiation into electrical energy.
We manufacture our solar modules in our production facility in
Germany.
The inverter
The inverter converts the direct current of the
solar modules into the alternating current of your home grid.
The Growatt inverter of our balcony power plant is
approved according to VDE standard AR-N 4150-2018:11 and has
a WiFi and app connection.
The cabling for Germany
The 3 meter long rubber connection cable with
Grounding plug with double grounding system
IP44 is for permanent outdoor use
suitable.
Via the socket, the electricity is fed into the
Household circuit.
The two PV lines are each 5 meters long and
connect the two solar modules to the inverter.
Legal and technical information about balcony power plants for Germany
Connection of the PV system: The German Society for Solar Energy (DGS) considers the connection of a plug-in PV system for the balcony with a Schuko plug and the existing socket to be problem-free.
The German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) recommends permanent wiring or connection via a specially fused Wieland socket outlet installed
by a specialist.
No storage of solar power!
The electricity of the balcony power plant is not stored.
It is ready for immediate consumption.
Registration according to VDE standard AR-N 4150-2018:11:
1. Registration
You are obliged to install the balcony power plant before
Commissioning at your local network operator
to register.
2. Meter check
Your electricity meter must not be able to
to run backwards. Only meters with backstop will be
accepted by the network operators. Alternatively, a
Bidirectional meter installed.
3. Registration with the Federal Network Agency
The PV system for the balcony must be registered in Germany in the
Market master data register (official register for
electricity-generating plants) of the
Federal Network Agency. The obligation to report is specified in the
Energy Industry Act.
